1794.92㎡ Design Concept:Design Concept:“The sun never knew how great it was until it struck the side of a building.” — Louis Kahn raw_earth started with the landscape. The geographical site is hot, dry, and exposed, with strong sunlight, reflective sand, and very little shade. I wanted the house to respond to those conditions in a simple way. The main idea came from the need to control the sunlight. A geometric claustra wall sits at the centre of the house and filters the sun before it reaches the interior. During the day, the light moves across the walls and floors, so the spaces slowly change as the sun moves. The materials were purposefully kept simple and natural. Plaster, masonry, stone, timber, and vegetation give the house most of its character. Some surfaces are rough and heavy, while others are warmer and more tactile. Timber softens the harder materials, and planting brings some of the outside landscape into the house. raw_earth illustrates how a place can shape a home. The local climate, natural materials, traditional patterns, and use of sunlight as a material shapes the experience of the design. It is important to note that the house remains stationary, while light keeps changing it throughout the day. AI Function Application: AI Render: The exterior of the house was rendered with AI to accurately capture how raw_earth fits into the natural environment. AI Modeler: AI Modeler was used to experiment with light sources and pendant lights allowing for a precise exploration of scale and ambiance within raw_earth. Project Status:In-Progress

1788.88㎡ I drew my inspiration from many of my Pinterest boards and other suburban home renovation shows on HGTV. Although the house is located in the city, I wanted it to have a comfortable and warm feeling. I used a lot of natural and yellow lighting to showcase this in the design. I really like the way it turned out and want my future house to be this nice as well.
