Tech Project- Cafe
I decided to make a cafe with a modern, simplistic, but decorative theme. The color scheme is mainly brown, white, black, and grey and I kept this theme consistent to the whole building, inside and outside. I went for a very open concept with lots of natural night and and included an outdoor patio. I first started with the outer walls to give me an idea of how much space I was going to be working with, I was then able to divide the rooms accordingly.
Patio:
I started by making an outdoor area and changed the flooring to wood. I kept the wood, brown, black and white theme with the furniture the the fence.
Patio (2):
I added some plant pots outside the door to fill some space and keep the outdoor plant theme.
Patio (3):
I added some dining sets and kept the themes consistent with black chairs and wooden tables. I added some plates and coffee cups on top of the tables to make it more realistic.
Patio (4):
I added some dining sets near the cafe window to keep the open concept, I again added some utilities on top of the tables as well as some lamps around the patio.
Patio (5): another view of the patio
Front outdoor entrance:
I wanted to make an outdoor entrance similar to an actual cafe. After looking up some pictures, most of them had signs and menus outside of them. I incorporated those things as well as added plant pots for effect and a black fence on each side.
Lounge room:
I had some extra room so I decided to make a lounge room with a more secluded area around it. I thought about how some restaurants have private dining areas and wanted to make something similar like that in my cafe. Although it is open to everyone, it has more privacy.
Lounge room (2):
I added a couch and coffee table with a rug in the center of the room. I added a bookcase against the wall and a mirror on the other wall. I then added some items on top of the coffee table.
Lounge room (3)
I added a painting on the corner part of the wall and added a light hanging over the coffee table.
Lounge (4):
I put matching paintings above the sofa and added hanging flowers on each side.
Men's bathroom:
I added some vanity's along the wall and placed some items on top of them such as soap and towels. I put baskets between each sink for the towels and inserted lights above each mirror. Finally I added a black mat in front of the counter space.
Men's bathroom (2):
I added urinals on the back wall with dividers and used a black wall trim.
Men's bathroom (3):
I added a black wardrobe in the corner of the room to fill space, and added black doors to match the wall trim.
Men's bathroom stall :
I added a toilet, toilet paper, a trash can and put a painting on the wall. I had some extra spaces so I put a shelf with some items on it.
Women's bathroom stall:
I added a toilet, toilet paper, a trash can and some paintings. I included a floating rack in order to be able to hang jackets, purses, etc...
Dining area (1):
I first changed the floor tiles and added the tables. I kept the wood, black, and white theme and continued the black wall trim to match the chair/ table legs. I then added lights over each table and some plants hanging from the ceiling. Lastly, I added items on top of the tables.
Dining area (2): another view
Dining area (3):
I added a shelf with plants in the corner of the room to fill the space and continue the plant theme.
Corner dining area:
I added a white rug and put a piano on top, with a light directly over it. I decided to do this because I know some cafes have pianos . It was looking empty so I chose to add a bookcase and put some items inside and on top. Lastly, I added a light up coffee sign.

Kitchen :
I added counters and put things like bread, coffee machines, blenders, a cash register, and more on top. I added a fridge, a sink, and a menu at the top for customers to look at. I placed a mat in the middle and lastly added some lights.
Kitchen (2):
I added a wooden design on the wall to make it more unique.
Hallway:
I made a hallway leading to the bathrooms. The bathroom doors are to the left and I put a coffee poster in between the doors and a clock to the left.
Dining area (4):
I added some different kinds of seating but kept the brown, white, and black theme. I added some different kinds of lights and made sure there was seating next to the windows.
Dining area (5):
I added some plant pots and utilities on the tables
Dining area (3):
I added some sofa seating and put coffee tables in between. I then added a painting all the wall.
Kitchen (4): different view
Kitchen (5): different view
Lounge room entrance:
I made the archway black to match the wall trim
Hallway (2)
I added a small divider in the hallway just to give the dinning area and hallway a bit of separation. I added a plant pot in the right corner and a small menu above it.
Hallway (3):
I put a window at the end with a rug Infront and some plants surrounding it. To the left I put the door that leads to the patio.
Women's bathroom :
I added some vanity's along the wall and placed some items on top of them such as soap and towels. I put baskets between each sink for the towels and inserted lights above each mirror. I added a black mat in front of the counter space, a trash can, and a painting on the wall.
