Living Room & Toy Storage
A living room designed to meet the needs of a family with children. The space needed to give the adults somewhere to relax, but also provide somewhere for children's toys to be stored away as these were taking over the current living room. The space also needs to be practical and usable for different occasions.

Floor plan shows how the existing room is currently 'divided' as the entry door is in the middle of the space. There's a window at one end, and french doors into a garden at the other.

The original living room felt dark and grey. The layout of this room hasn't been changed, but a dark green feature wall has been added and mustard yellow highlights introduced to help the room feel more cosy. Additional shelving has also been added for extra storage.
This was originally a dumping ground for toys, but there was no storage so they were strewn across the floor. This adds some modular storage with baskets that can be pulled out and filled by children. A chair and table add an option for sitting or could be moved to make room for a playroom or party.
