Floor Plan 250.72㎡

My first official plan was to make the house only one floor, but to make my design interesting, I eventually decided to make a second floor. The additions I made or placed to the house on the second floor was a third bedroom, a laundry room, a library/office, and a lounge.

Children's Bedroom

The children's room has a color theme of navy blue, white, and gray. The gray doesn't overpower the blue and make the room dull and boring. The bed is a great addition to the room to fit the playful yet sophisticated vibe. The open closet helps make the rooms less stuffy and compact.

In the children's bedroom, the walls are the same color as the bed. A desk is in the corner for school/homework purposes and brightens up the rooms and clearly suggests that it is a children's room. The carpet under the bed is great for adding a little color to the vibe, and making the room playful.

Stairwell

The stairs are very minimalist, with the white marble tiling. They don't grab all the attention when walking around the house. They are made to be simple yet with a pop of color from the plant and the curtains, to make sure they are not very boring.

Lounge

The lounge is a room where friends can hang out and have fun. You can watch TV, listen to music, play games, drink a beverage from the mini fridge, or just enjoy the view from the huge windows.

In the lounge, there is also a Foosball table, for fun and games. A great way to get along and have fun without using technology.

Master Bathroom

The master bathroom, is simple, spacious, and modern. The tiling of the back wall gives the bathroom a clean and precise look. This room does not stray from the aesthetic of most of the house. The bathroom includes a 2 sink vanity, a clear sliding shower door, and a towel rack as additions.

A 2 sink vanity is a great way to use extra space in a bathroom, and it gives an expensive look to the room. These lights are great as the room is longer rather than wider, so the light reaches all corners. A painting can be used as decor, and to use some of the walls as part of the room.

Garage

The garage is very spacious and can fit a closet and quite a bit of equipment, or moving boxes. A window was added, to add light into the area to not make the room very stuffy. It's easy to move around in the garage without knocking something over or breaking something due to the extra space.

Living/Kitchen/Dining

This is where a person enters into the house through the double doors. This area includes a bathroom, closet/cloak room, a bench, and a shoe rack. It is very spacious, making it easier to go in and out of the house without bumping into something.

Adding a clock near the front door is a great assist to someone running late or ready to go. A bench can help someone relax or be a support when putting on shoes, or even just waiting for somebody.

The cloak room helps keep a spacious area as to not crowd jackets or shoes near the front door. It is useful when the seasons change and summer hats or winter boots need to go back into the closet for a couple months.

This areas is an open concept living room, kitchen, and dining. Very easy to navigate throughout, and not incredibly bold looking. The plants can ground some of the bolder details, and keep everything balanced.

This area is very simple and comfy, as to makes anybody feel comfortable the moment they come inside.

The plants were a great way to add a freshness to the room, and improve the air quality in the room. You you have extra space in a room, you can make a miniature garden.

I kept most of the kitchen white to contrast with the counter and fridge. The kitchen and dining are very simple to make sure that is it spacious, with a plant for a pop of color.

I added a sliding door as an entrance to the backyard instead of a double or single door to add light into the room during the day. I made sure to keep the dining table and chairs the same color.

Hallway

The upstairs hallways is very spacious and simple to navigate throughout. My favorite part of this area is the wall décor I have added, such as the pictures or the flowers.

This area was actually supposed to be a closet until I thought that it would be too many doors in one hallways. So I decided to make an area for more plants and possibly a window. It adds a pretty and aesthetic vibe to the hallway.

Library/Office

This room is a great place to relax by the fire and read a book or get some work done. My favorite part of this room is the fireplace as it gives off very warm and cozy vibes.

I added 2 bookshelves to minimize empty awkward spaces in the corners of the room, and also because the bigger shelf didn't have enough books to become a "library" due to the vases and decor.

Laundry Room

My first idea was to make the laundry room small without any extra pieces. Yet with so much extra space on the second floor, I decided to make the laundry room bigger and add more pieces of furniture. My favorite part of the room is how all the furniture fits nicely on one side of the room.

I added a painting to take up some of the space on the wall opposite of all the furniture, and kept the door sliding. I also added 2 windows to provide the light in and also a great view.

Bedroom

This is the second bedroom on the first floor. This is my favorite bedroom out of all three, because I really like the furniture and how it is placed in the room. I also love how the window gives a great view outside from just sitting on the bed. All the furniture looks very modern and luxurious.

I love the photo collage on the wall as it represents memories and things you love. The carpet adds a pop of color to the floor and is great décor for the room.

Bathroom

This is the bathroom on the first floor. It is small yet simple, with only the essential pieces such as a shower, vanity, and toilet. My favorite part of it is the vanity as it adds colour and style to the bathroom.

Master Bedroom

This is the master bathroom on the second floor of the house. The closet and mirror and a modern vibe to the room and the window gives a great view outside.

I added a plant in the corner to brighten up the room and add a pop of color. I also added a painting to take up some empty space on the wall.
