SEVEN STONE CIRCLES
Travel back in history around 5000 years and early man lived in caves and worshipped the moon and built monuments like Stonehenge. Fast Forward to present day and modern man usually prefer to live in a more conventional home as a house but very often use the same materials such as stone and slate that those Neolithic builders would have selected. So this home brings together the elements of the ages , combining natural materials sourced from the earths abundance of rock formations and with a nod to Stonehenge with its own standing circles.

Built in a mix of slate and stone, traditional exterior opens to a contemporary interior. The colours and finishes are in deliberately earthy winter tones. Groundfloor hall, kitchen, snug cum study and large sitting room with a inner grotto garden. Upstairs a bedroom with tucked away shower room.

Hallway
Replicating the idea from the early cave dwellers who drew images on the walls of their homes this home has an inner courtyard area with a brightly painted mural on two sides depicting a image loosely replicating the environment it sits within.

The circle stones were an idea inspired by the neolithic stonehenge monument.

The house blends into its moody environment with the slate grays and natural brickwork.

Wintry tones of multi greys are used throughout the hallway and custom artwork has been selected using images of the different building textures used in this home.

Bedroom
The triple aspect bedroom has its own sitting area with beautiful views across the valley in one direction and over the muralled courtyard in the other.
A fireplace feature acts as a barrier to the open stairway.
Beautiful objects adorn the coffee table in the sitting area.
Large almost floor to ceiling windows allow plenty of soft natural lighting.
The tucked away shower area.

The kitchen along with the other rooms has natural slate walls and here can be seen the custom built breakfast bar.
Image of Stonehenge that was the partial inspiration for this design.
Living Room
The beautiful contemporary sitting room has the same dimensions as the bedroom above.
Modern stone pieces of furniture enhance the predominantly white upholstery.
In in the heart of the living room warmth in the form of an open fire replicas how we have heated our homes since the stone age onwards.
Impressive stairs wind their way up to the bedroom.

WOW WOW WOW!!! Oh Karen -- I absolutely love this design!! Where do I start?! That staircase is the hero of the whole wonderful house! That living room is stunning, but I have to say - the bathroom and kitchen are some of my all-time favorites that you've ever done! Your finishes are always perfection, and you just excelled with this stone brief. What a beautiful exterior with all of the views through the circles. This is amazing my friend!

This impressive design had me wanting for breath and took my words away!! The building was done with so much care and design vision, perfectly fitted into the best environment! Loved all the stone finishes and how it was used to enhance the atmosphere! It was difficult to choose any room above another, but one favorite of me has to be the different circles and how it created special moments while looking through them! Well done my friend!
