Cabin In The Woods
My design was based of a cabin me and my family went to a few times as a child. It was one of my favorite places growing up because it was cozy, warm and on the water. I took the whole aspect of a warm family cabin as my first priority making this home. It is 1,134 square foot two bedroom one bath and sleeps 4 with a 769 square foot two car garage and cloakroom leading to the large living room and kitchen. My hope for this house is that it gives everyone the same joy as my cabin gave me as a child. In every house I have lived in there has always been a cloak room so I wanted to include that as it keep outside dirt in one area. I chose to have a great room with a kitchen and living room to make the cabin look bigger and have more room for indoor activity's.
I like the large wooden wardrobe because it matches the color of the overall theme of the cabin. There is also lots of wall space for family or friend photos.
I made this room to have a large amount of this sources to give the room a bright happy feel. There is lots more room for larger nightstands if needed.
This image shows two major things I love about this cabin. One being the fact that the three windows allow a large amount of light to flow through and make the space brighter. Secondly I made sure that The large window beside the glass door opens allowing a breeze to pass through the whole cabin.
This image shows the large bay window giving you plenty of opportunity's to ad your own items and trinkets to the window. The bay window is also large enough to have a small reading space with natural light.
I added a semi-modern kitchen with a gas stove and oven allowing plenty of family recipes to be made along side the large counter space. The large fridge also holds a large amount leftovers letting you eat family meals for days. The glass door opens out to the backyard and river behind the cabin.
This overall shot of the Livingroom and kitchen lets you see the natural light passing through. It also shows the amount of play space you can have for family game night.
I modeled the cloak room after the same one that was in my cabin as a child. Just to the right of the image there is a stackable washer and dryer letting you clean the hardest stuck messes.
The bathroom has everything you need in a standard bathroom. A stand up shower, a toilet and sink and mirror.
This second bedroom brings back memories of my childhood living in my family cabin. This bedroom is more modeld after a kids bedroom but it can sleep two adults.
The garage has lots of space for two cars and other storage needs. Along the far wall there are many shelves that lets you store anything your heart desires.
I love it!!!!!!
