#EasterDayContest - An Easter Gathering
Easter has many meanings, for some a deeply religious festival, for children a time to indulge in chocolate eggs and other treats.... but for many this is a time of the year to catch up and enjoy life with family or friends and maybe gather for a shared meal. My Easter design is a combination of a lunch party for the adults and an Easter corner for the little ones... or those just young at heart.

The Easter space is divided into an entrance area, sitting space and kitchen. I have built on a conservatory style room which is being used as a dining room and also a small cloakroom directly opposite the entrance. A decked terrace runs around the entire space has 360 degree garden views.

Easter Room
Entrance area. For the most part this home is a simple mixture of white walls and furnishings offset with brickwork and grey limed doors, timber flooring and heavily beamed ceiling.
A simple rustic farmhouse style was selected for this home. With use of the Easter items to celebrate this lovely time of the year.
An Easter corner with sweet treats and some cute bunnies.
Tucked discreetly to one end is a small kitchen where Easter lunch is well into production.

Here in England a warm fire is still often required around Easter. The weather is often chilly and I remember snow on 2 occasions.
