This roof I made using the customize tool. I started by contouring the entire ceiling of the building. Using the offset button, I expanded the perimeter to how much I wanted the roof to go beyond the walls (pay attention to this step because we usually have to add the wall thickness in this perimeter expansion). Then I established the height and the central axis of the roof using the guide lines and went drawing triangles and trapezoids to create the roof. The secret is to play with the tool! I made a lot of mistakes before I got it right!
