The Immigrant’s Imagery Museum project is the result of the course Curatorship in an expanded field developed by Camila Vieira during the Social design Residency - Occupy Baltan. By participating as co-curators, the group chose artworks that better reunite the qualities they believe are essential to transmitting their Culture and heritage uniqueness.
The exhibition speaks for the facts behind the factories, as a tribute for labor’s time, to celebrate the body, and to remember the sceneries of the forgotten.
COLONIZERS AND PORTRAITISTS "the indigenous peoples are being made invisible and exotic and were denied their rights." In alignment with this idea, Denilson Baniwa states that these colonial images are pure fiction and aren't as impartial as they appear.
