#AmericanRoomContest_American classic with a twist
In this design, they used the Classic elements of wall cladding, neutral colors, solid wood and rich gold as a metal as first inspiration to design the interior of the space. Then they started layering more contemporary pieces and a bit more color in the rich ochers and charcoals, and some contemporary patterns to bring the design into this century. The space was interpreted as a lounge/office space with direct access to the garden....which is resting under a thick layer of snow.

The space was interpreted and styled as a more formal lounge with office area. Direct access the the garden, and of course the door leading into the rest of the house.

Living and Dining Room
Classic pieces were chosen in a neutral color scheme and then paired with more contemporary pieces, colors and pattern.
The fireplace chosen was of classic origins and made a big statement in the room and grounding it on the one side of the space. Classic wall cladding and sconces competed the picture.
More contemporary chair, paired with classical art on the wall.
The classic sofa was dressed with more contemporary pillows and throw. Color was also introduced by that. The ocher picking up on the yellow tints of the flowers in the foreground.
Double patio doors leading out onto the garden.
It's cold outside......grab a woolly blanket and stay in!
From the back of the sofa looking towards the sitting area. A nice little console table to ground the sofa.
This is the office area in the space. The window seat flanked by bookcases for that essential storage space.
The office chairs was chosen in classic lines. Comfortable to use at the desk, but also for extra seating in the space.
Big mirrors was used on either side of the room to reflect back and forth!
This is the story of the classic American home who finds herself a twist for the new era! Hope you enjoyed it enough to heart it!

Impeccable, immaculate white interior...and the mustard and black elements you have scattered around elevates everything to such a high end finish. Love your panelling Hester and this beautiful classic interior represents the American theme so well. This elegant home exudes class and would surely be every well-heeled woman dream property. WONDERFUL design!!!!!

What a beautiful interpretation of American style! I can't believe what you started with and what you gave us! So elegant with the molding and amazing display of artwork. I love the accent of ochre. Another brilliant design, my friend!
