Set in a remote winter landscape this is a maybe masculine retreat is decorated with the aim of replicating the colours of nature inside this property. Natural woodblock flooring is offset with gentle tones of taupe, beige and other earthy hues. Some winter whites on the walls and in the bathroom and a splash of gold throughout. Green plants have deliberately been omitted with a sprig or two of winter foliage substituted in their place. I have added more windows in both the bathroom and living areas to create light and to take in the surroundings.

This one room space now houses everything needed for a few nights vacation or even an entire season in the wilderness. A warm comfortable lounge accommodates a well equipped kitchen and dining space. A semi partitioned bedroom area and separate bathroom complete the package.

The lighting throughout has been deliberately pitched at low level to create a realistic atmosphere, the intimacy and full beauty of this space can only be appreciated in the larger images.

Accessories have been left to a minimum and are of a masculine nature.
wrought iron partitions add a visual feature and define the different areas.
the bedroom is dressed in masculine tones and continues in the same décor palette as the sitting room.
Comfort and style doesn't get overlooked... even in the wilderness.

Although basically one room, the area is spacious and uncluttered with a nod to masculine preferences in the choice of furnishings.

Wow, Karen! What an amazing place!! I love that you saw this as an escape in the woods, and the masculine vibe is perfect. You created the best flow! I love how you placed the sofa and bed, and that little reading nook and dining area are so beautiful! But my favorite area? The bathroom! So beautiful with the environment you used.

Oh man, what a wonderful space this is! There is a wonderful air of stillness and peacefulness in here! I imagine the person living here as somebody who is rooted in the earth and comfortable in his own skin, not phased by fashion or any trends and happy to live the good life in an easy going way and near to nature! Good Work!!
