#EmptyRoomContest Modern Wood Apartment
The wooden theme throughout this one- to two-person apartment, combined with the more modern aspects like the art, creates a wonderful ambiance that isn't to be ignored.The apartment is divided into two rooms, through which the second is accessed via an arch doorway. The small room is the bathroom. The larger room has been divided into two living areas, the bedroom and the larger space, by a partial wall. The larger area is further sectioned into a small foyer, a living room, a kitchen, a dining room, and a little office space.

From the doorway you enter the main living space. To the left (unseen) is the foyer area. Straight-on, the large sofa living space. To the right (unseen), office and dining space. Along the right wall is kitchen space. Beyond the arch doorway is the bathroom, and bedroom is over the divider wall.
This is the foyer space to the left of the door. Included is found decorative shelving, a small table, and a coatrack.

To the right of the doorway is found the small office space. Farther along the wall we find the dining area. Continuing down the far right wall now, we come across a window, and finally, the kitchen space.

The living area is small, though the mirror positioned against the bedroom divider wall creates a feeling of a much larger space. To the left wall is a large clock and some shelving. Seen on top of the divider wall itself are some small decorations.

Transitioning into the bedroom space, the wood theme continues in the wall sconces (left) and general art. Small bedside tables, matching the art frames, are positioned next to the bed. A small rug and pillows decorate the end of the bed. Note that the bed is two steps up on a wooden platform.

Here, you can see the raised platform of the bedroom. Dark wood creates a wonderful contrast to the marble floor found throughout the room, and the edges are curved to present a gentle slope.
A view of the divider wall as seen from the bed itself presents a television with a dresser beneath. Displayed on the dresser are various shades of brown and white: a plant, jewelry, photographs, and a basket on a lace mat. To the left of the dresser is a wood-themed lamp.

Walking into the bathroom, we find the same wall art in the bedroom splashed across the far wall, though in a much larger form. The free-standing tub is supplied by the showerhead on the left wall. Seen also are the shelves for accessories, and the toilet.
To the right of the arch doorway, we find the sink and countertop area.
