The neutral palette of the cloak room chosen to enhance the feeling of space.
The master bedroom suite is in the one wing of the house and through the door you can see the main entrance of the house as well as the cloak room. The room enters into a wide piece of 'hallway' in which a big bookcase was fitted for reading. The color palette stayed neutral with ochre accents.
This is the night view of the bed with it's unusual choice of wall paper and striking light fittings against it. They used a bit of a modern ethnic influence in the room.
Here is the daylight view and also shows how the room has direct access to the terrace that was designed for perfect indoor outdoor living.
The pop of yellow ochre and the love of nature!! A medium dark wood with a rich grain was used throughout the whole house!
On the floor was a wall to wall carpet used in a neutral color and with it a selection of loose rugs.
Little Oliver's room. The dark grey on the wall with the natural wood elements and his big love for wild animals was used as the inspiration of the room.
The patterned grey and white wall paper was used to break up the starkness of the dark grey walls and created extra depth in color and pattern.
a selection of wild animal wall sculptures was his dream came true!!. Also see the layout of the room with one door leading into the hallway and the other into the twin bathroom he has to share with his sister.
In the hallway you'll find the cloak room for guest's convenience and on the side a peak into the glass doors that separate the playroom from the rest of the house.
Semi glass front door in the same rich brown wood.
Cloak room to the left, master suite to the right....and that is one wing of the house.
This bathroom was wedged in between two children's bedrooms and was designed to give easy access to both rooms. It was also designed to please the senses of the two children using it every day. The fixtures were chosen carefully though, to be not too childish but can easily upgraded to be grownup!
Just the little pop of yellow. The color palette mostly is of white and the slightest baby pink and blue in the accent mosaic walls. They opted to stay with a lighter wood, but the same rich wood grain texture.
Bath time is always play time and fun in this house!
This is the night life in granny's fairy garden!
When fairies come out to play.......
In granny's courtyard there is two seating areas, a shade tree, water fountain and a door to close it off from the hustle and bustle of family life if needs to be.
Table and chairs for having breakfast in the garden or even supper.....
Comfy chairs for reading.....and of course Millie......
Feeding the birds is a daily activity in the courtyard.....
What are you reading......?
One side of the terrace view......
Molly......
The lady of the house prefers her kitchen more modern and with ample storage to hide away all clutter. There is enough to handle in this big household not to be confronted with extra kitchen clutter. The washing up was therefore also hidden around the corner....
The semi circular kitchen island was covered with an interesting patterned tile and was perfect for the extra seating and serving space. The dining room off the kitchen on one side of the open plan living space.
This is the view out from the dining room.
Big and welcoming fireplace! Reading by the fire.....
The kitchen was place conveniently between the dining area and sitting area in the living dining room.
The same dark grey wall color was used to accentuate the different zones and to bring more coziness in the big room.
This is the outside living room: the terrace! It was cleverly divided into different areas for every generation to find a way to play! Or relax and watch others play??
The bedroom and living room side of the terrace.....
The dining room side of the terrace......
The kiddie's side of the terrace! Playing house, jumping hopscotch, swinging and sliding!!
How gorgeous is this wooden surrounds for the trees......and such a dreamy seat.....
The neutral color scheme with the rich wood textures! And in the back of the picture the door to granny's paradise!
Libby's bedroom.....pink and girly. On the bed, the pillow her granny made for her!
The floor was covered with the same wall to wall carpet and then she got her special ABC rug in pink!
This is the dressing room in the master bedroom suite. I see that the wall to wall carpet in this room vanished in rendering.....so it looks a bit bare! The outfit for the day already hung out for this busy mommy!
This was the lady of the house's dream came true! A soaker tub next to a spacious glass shower! They used the same grey and neutral color palette and stayed clear of any clutter by using an almost minimalist approach in the bathroom.
His and her vanities.....
We are in Granny's bachelor flat and in her little kitchenette with just the bare essentials. Most of the times her meals are taken with the children in the main house.
Comfortable seating area and her TV on her favorite cooking show. Now I have to tell you that granny had a very specific color scheme in mind and could not be swayed. She wanted her lilacs and pinks and a dash of deeper purple, which ended up on the floor and the curtains.
Granny's room is a picture of softness and femininity.....and it suits her perfectly!!
Big doors leading out to paradise.....
Welcome to Granny's room.....
This is granny's closet! not dark and dingy but open and airy and spacious! Leading to the bedroom on one side and into the bathroom on the other side.
Granny's bathroom with her favorite Persian carpet underfoot! She would never part with that!
The vanity in her bathroom are slightly more traditional as is the cupboards in her walk through closet, but that is what she really wanted!
The damask patterned wall tiles so suitable for the look of the room.
This is the 'everything goes' play room in the house! Enough space, seating and ample storage for a semi clutter free space to please the lady of the house!
She insisted on the wall of cupboards with frosted glass panes to bring lots of interest in the room and providing all the storage she needed. Window seats by the windows maximizes seating.
This is the only area in the room that runs the risk of cluttering up....but non the less with good organization in place! Mommy's sewing corner!!
The dark grey and neutral color scheme was continued and the use of ethnic inspired patterns came through also.
Glass doors to shut the room off from the rest of the house.....just in case the playing gets a bit loud......
Big television screen for popcorn and movies nights!
Thanks Clementine! And it was the aim....to make it as authentic as possible! I love to try and create something for real life!

The scale of this design was mind blowing and so successful on every level. You created a home that is totally realistic and completely beautiful in equal measures. I have exhausted my cache of descriptive words to express how fabulous your interiors are. So let me say i loved every room, every detail....but the creme de la creme is that outside area for me.... Magnificent!!! but i can easily apply that word to the whole property. Thanks for all the inspiration looking at this offers me Hester and congratulations on this MASSIVELY impressive build.

Wow! Hester, what an accomplishment!! Even though this is a massive design, your signature style is apparent in every space! What a labor of love for this lucky family! Each area is so age appropriate and yet cohesive with the whole house. That courtyard is brilliant! Gorgeous and a place for every generation to enjoy! I love ochre as the accent color, and the children's rooms and bath are adorable! Fantastic design work my friend!!
