A basic experiment with a moderately sized space to create an inviting, comfortable and flexible retreat.I took cues from the beach house & mid-century modernism.

Design for a livable <900sf home/ apartment: includes living area, bedroom with bay window & bathroom.

I love long islands.
As you can see, everything feels wide and open. Enough space to cook, work, read and anything else.
The leather bench chairs break up the conventional dinner table too. Feels more like a casual studio or cafe, which I like.
