My first design
This is the first project I made before even finishing my design courses. This has been done for a friend as she gets ready to move in a new place with her husband. The apartment is designed in a modern style with small asian and industrial touches.
This is the main plan. This is the rendered result taken in aerial view. Because top renders have really bad quality :D
At night, the balcony brings some intimacy from the city lights while presenting an amazing view over the entire city as the apartment is situated on a high floor.
On the contrast with a bad habit, I tried to add a touch of nature in their urban surroundings for a brighter mood.
This is their little balcony. I worked with the shade in order to fit a small lounging area as one of them is a smoker and prefers his coffee with fresh air.
The bathroom has a colder vibe, but it has many defining features. From the wood on the wall to the stone from the sinks all the way to the marble, tiles and rugs.
The pleasure sanctuary and the piece du resistance in every bathroom. The tub is both spacious and comfortable with defining curves and 2 little friends on the sides to compliment its shapes.
This is the entrance to the apartment and the first and last thing you see when you visit the place. Its decorated in a minimalist style as the couple tends to forget things around this area so there needs to be some contrast.
This is what you see when you exit the hallway. The dining area and the living room is complimented by different touches and shades of blue.
The kitchen area had to be an L-shaped one to which I added the necessary day-to-day items that fir their needs and comfort.
Here is the view of the dining a living room area which have rich natural light and quite a decent view over the surrounding area.
The couple have a huge passion for reading so they needed a lot of place for books and magazines as well as a comfortable couch to enjoy them.
At night the place becomes truly alive and warm as the light are set up in order to create a cozy atmosphere that encourages a good mood.
The asian-style sliding door leads to the dressing and it is one of the best choices when it comes to sliding doors that bring both intimacy and low weight.
The bedroom had to be as simple as possible. I worked with the same wall mound as I did in the bathroom in order to create a general link and harmony between the 2 spaces.
This is the lady's office. She wanted a clean space that brings positive vibes and encourages creativity
Each has their own side of the ,,closet'' but we all know its not really how its going to be in the real life :)
I tried to make the dressing as cozy and inviting as possible. It is a rather small place so I had to make the best out of it.
