Modern Rainforest

I decided to extend the main bedroom as well as the bathroom. I added another double window in the living room because I wanted to bring more light into the space. Overall, I wanted the house to be light, airy and have an easy flow throughout.

Bathroom

The white high gloss mosiac wall tiles give the space a shiny and light feel. I love how seamlessly they merge with the rest of the wall tiles without making the space look too busy.

I wanted to maximise on the space so placing the tub inside the shower allowed me to have both. I went with a chrome finish on the taps and shower accessories. This is by far my favourite tub.

I consider this to be the main bathroom, so I wanted to have a double basin with mirrors. I wanted to keep it extremely clean and light so I used a simple geometric floor tile and white brick style ceramic wall tiles. Marble gives it a sophisticated feel.

Bathroom

I love using marble in bathrooms, it gives the space a clean, modern and sophisticated finish. I've maintained the chrome accessories in the guest bathroom too.

Having full bathrooms in this space was quite important for me, so I tired to find a tub small enough to comfortably fit in the space. The grid shower door really ties in the modern look.

I used the same wall tiles in the guest bathroom but changed the floor tiles to a more patterned mosaic tile. In the main bathroom, I used teal coloured towels, so I wanted to use that colour as inspiration for the vanity in the guest bathroom. This vanity is my favourite.

Living Room

Overall, this living room has a modern feel to it but still feels comfortable and has great conversation pieces included.

I've tried to incorporate geometric shapes, bright colours, various materials, all while creating a harmonious feel. Introducing additional light was also a necessity for this space.

My aim for this living room is to allow the viewer to take their time looking around, I want the viewer to take in every aspect of the room and to appreciate the various pieces I've included.

The living room is probably my favourite room in this house. Here, I really got to play with the colours of the rainforest and make use of interesting fabrics and textures. I love how the yellow armchairs add a colour pop to the space without stealing anyone's attention away from the entire room.

Bedroom

Overall, keeping the guest room clean, neutral and simple allows for whoever sleeps here to accessorise as they see fit. Using modern lighting and gold accents, with the geometric pattern wallpaper ties in with the patterns used in the living room.

I love using indoor plants, and why not, since this is a "modern rainforest". Having the indoor plant next to the wardrobe brings some life into the room.

I wanted the guest bedroom to have a sophisticated mood. I used a lot of warm colours but tried to keep it gender neutral. I kept it a simple and easy space to live in.

Bedroom

Overall, I wanted this room to feel like a sanctuary, I wanted the bold colours to brighten up the room and create a focal point. Keeping the linen simple and accessories minimal, I relied on the wallpaper, lighting and overall colour scheme to tie everything in.

The high gloss armoire was a perfect way to introduce additional storage. I didn't want to cover all the walls with wallpaper, so I used the same dark grey wall colour as used in other rooms in this space too.

I really wanted to play with bold colours in the main bedroom. I wanted to incorporate the colours used in the living room but use a bold wallpaper pattern. I also thought that keeping with the gold accents used in the guest bedroom would really work in this room.
