Away From Home

This space is inspired by some of the various homes/apartments I've been looking into in Savannah, GA. Savannah is one of the most iconic cities in Georgia, and much of its architecture untouched by modern design. I feel some elements of this design reflect those principles.

Entrance & Hallway

I wanted to make a hallway similar to that of the apartment complex I briefly toured last winter when I was visiting a classmate.

Living and Dining Room

The space for the living room, dining room, and kitchen are conjoined. To keep the kitchen area separate from the living room, I added a wall. This also keeps the kitchen's compact appearance and adds a bit of charm.

To offset the white cabinetry and light tan walls, colorful accent furniture helps create a sense of harmony and warmth in an otherwise "cold" space.

Second Bathroom

I accidentally saved this as a second bathroom when indeed this is a second bedroom! I wanted a neutral contrast to the prominent pink and ultra-feminine touches in the other bedroom.

Terrace

I wanted to get different lighting settings for the terrace/balcony. Dimmer lighting in the evening allows for more romantic scenery.

In the daytime, this space feels much more open--also thanks to the plants and assorted flora.

Laundry Room

The laundry room for most American homes is usually hidden or obscured. Here, it is tucked away by a sliding door adjacent to the kitchen.
