Suburban home

Concepts for my new downsized house. It needs to be small and simple enough for two, but have space for big family gatherings.

Living areas are on the north more maximum winter sun.

The garage location is dictated by large trees and the rest of the house is laid out from there. Living areas are at the north end for winter sun. There is a comfortable master suite, a smaller bedroom for the grandkids, a small gym and a largish study / music room.

The master bedroom is just large enough for a queensize bed and two recliner-rockers. We both love sitting by a window reading in the afternoons, and the room has been designed accordingly.

A feature stone wall will house a gas fireplace and TV.
