Let the sunshine in!
I wanted to create a penthouse that brought in the outdoors. Open concept living with windows galore overlooking the city from every angle. Large doors opening to the rooftop balcony. (not yet in place) hehe

Outdoors
Everyone loves to swing! Two oversized bucket swings to sit and relax the day away. Hot tub and lounge chairs add to the abundant outdoor space.
A large umbrella with two comfy loveseats to get out of the hot sun.
Dining Room

A look at the entire space. Windows, windows, windows.
Who wouldn't want a table and space that could easily fit 10 or more guests for dinner?
A contemporary yet warm table with plenty of overhead lighting.
A peek from outside looking in.
Unnamed space
Sitting and looking over the city from every angle.
Center cooking island allows family and friends to participate in the preparation of all meals.
Balcony
A bit of sitting space on the balcony right out side the living room doors.
Some outdoor eating space off the kitchen.
Bright sunny spot to sit and overlook the city.
Master Bedroom
A touch of strange contemporary art to tie it to the rest of the home.
I wanted to add a bit of GLAM to the room with the paisley wallpaper and rug.
A full wall wardrobe replaces the need for large closet and adds some texture to the wall.
Second Bathroom
An antique base with contemporary sink, traditional curtain and contemporary mirror.
I wanted unique pieces to help this small room make a statement.
Unnamed space
The main idea in the master bathroom was sleek lines, bright colors and plenty of light.
A luxurious bath for her.
Double contemporary sinks with large mirrors. Towel bars for him and her.
Simple artwork, a bit of green, and shades for privacy. Sleek marble flooring. Tile behind the tub matches the shower stall.
A huge 5 foot corner shower stall for him!
Unnamed space
The living space offers the same contemporary, airy feel as the kitchen. Spaces open to each other and contemporary yet comfortable furnishings.
Adding some wood elements along with green plants give the space a warmer feel.

I love the dome lighting. The large pieces add a soft glow throughout the room, but the small individual domes give a pleasant glow to each sitting space.

Hi Stefanie, I am sorry it took so long to answer. So many reasons! :) Did you find out the answer? When you render a photo (by clicking on the teapot) you get to choose which backdrop you want for your exterior windows. City, Country, etc. Then you render in HD and it looks amazing! I am not at all an expert at this, but I am learning little by little. Thank you for asking and for your comments.

@Lily M if when your in a design you created and you look up at the top bar (draw room, tools, save, etc.) look at the button with a tea pot. click render and you can choose which background you want to appear in you realistic photos. the background wont show up while your adding furniture in your design, but it will if you click the view images button, which is in the top right hand corner of the render page. Hope this helps!
