Tropical escape
I've always wanted to do a round room as a challenge and, after recently falling in love with cob houses and the freedom of design and shape they offer, I knew I just had to try to make a round home and not just a room. The main theme for this design was solitude and romance.平面布置图 46.65㎡
I knew when I started this that there would be a lot of static space with no real room for doors to close off the areas for the bath or bedroom. So I decided that flow was more important than privacy in this design.

This 720 view shows what the interior looks like with the central fireplace going.
Less is really more in this home and that is showcased in the simple design of the kitchen and dining area.
The living room was designed for cozy, comfort and has the one piece of technology that I put in in. Since the house is totally solar, I didn't want there to be much more than lights. The doors open out onto the main trail that leads out to a small visitors center and cantina.
What home is complete without a little reading nook? This one felt particularly homey to me in a house that is more typically suited for outdoor life.
Just outside your window is a hundred-foot cliff affording you stunning views of the forest canopy and wildlife. The water for the bath, sink and toilet comes from a catchment system that is located out of sight.
