how do you put a book case in a wall niche?

How to put a book case in a hollow wall? 

I have spent my whole day firuring it out but it looks so bad. 

I am attaching some pics in the comments so you all have an idea on what  am saying. 


Any advice is appreciate!!

When moving the bookcase, press and hold ctrl to cooperate with the movement, and it can be easily placed in the alcove.
