Trying to drop in a Sketchup model of an entire house, to be "painted" in Homestyler.
Found 2 problems:
) It cheerfully lets you upload a model, then sits there "processing" it for 20 minutes, and ONLY THEN tells you there's a failure and it's because only Sketchup versions 2019 and earlier are supported.
Solution: add a notice about version restrictions at the BEGINNING of the upload process, so people don't waste their time waiting for a process 100% guaranteed to fail.
2.) In order to submit the model, you have to choose a category. First of all, for your own private models, why is this a requirement? Second, if it IS a requirement for some reason - if you're going to force a user to choose a category, and your selection is limited, you ALWAYS, always, always, ALWAYS, need to have a category like "Other" or "Miscellaneous" or "Uncategorized". You can't predict every use case. It's that simple. Why do I have to file away a model of an entire house as a staircase part or a couch? What if I'm uploading a garden statue? You don't have a category for that either.
Solution: either add more categories that accommodate common use cases, or (ideally) also have a category like "Miscellaneous" or "Other".
