Ruler measurement disappears after measuring between WC and the wall while saving the project and exporting to image

I need to show how much space left between Bathroom WC and Wash basin and the wall to accomadate sufficent space as per the local builing codes and to show the meaurement to the local City office.

But after measuring between WC and the wall, Ruler measurement disappears while saving the project or exporting to image
