I tried to upload a .jpg file into homestyler and it appears to have gone just fine. However, the status shows "detection failed".
Does anyone know what that means?

Unless HS is having another glitch, jpg's should be loaded as '2D model', I missed the tab a few times myself! Just remember to use a very high quality image, load it as a custom map (this will allow the picture to e scalable) and load the actual jpg dimensions in the measurement fields- don't worry about converting to cm/mm.
