Importing a photo of a rug to add to a model-Questions&Answers-Homestyler Forum

Hello,

I'm new to Homestyler. I'm hoping to use the software to virtually stage handmade rugs from my collection into various furnished spaces.

How can I import my rug images and show them on the floors of finished spaces?

Hey Douglas, you can do this! 1. upload the image of the carpets you wish to add (as 2D model) 2. go through the model library and find rugs that look similar (shape and texturally) to the rugs you have. Once you have a rug in your space, click on it... the grey menu that pops up- click "replace material"... and that's where you can add you image on top of the rug model. In this edit page you can size the image so it lines up with 3d rug model. HOW TO ADD A 2D Model: On left hand menu, select "MY", then select "UPLOAD MODEL" and follow the prompts for uploading a 2D model
