One of my friends just bought this apartment. The kitchen is small and cannot comfortably accommodate a dining area. The solution involves removing part of the living room wall (currently closed off) to create an open flow while using the remaining wall section as a backdrop for a desk/office area. This office zone is sheltered by a wooden screen/divider that allows visibility and light while creating a private, non-cubicle feeling environment conducive to focused work. Adjacent to the large windows with their lovely city views, I've positioned the dining table and chairs, defining this zone with decorative wood paneling. This dining area comfortably seats up to seven people. A single draper serves multiple functions: it creates space for dining chairs, provides a contrasting backdrop for the couch when viewed from the entrance, and visually balances the office separating panel. I've selected a minimalist TV console due to space constraints and to prevent sensory overwhelm when relaxing on the couch. The wall-mounted TV is set against a dark forest green background that complements the numerous wood elements throughout the space. The couch combines textile and wood in a simple yet modern design. The wooden coffee table creates a subtle boundary, particularly important given the wide entrance from the hallway. The green theme continues through nature-inspired photographs or paintings placed strategically throughout the room.
