Good Candy!!!
Sorensen's sister, Michelle held onto him tightly as they approached the heavily decorated house! She wrapped her arm around his neck but tightened her hold as they walked closer.Yes, it was all in good Halloween fun but there was indeed something more creepy about this house!
"This place is scary" Michelle whispered in his ear.
Big brother, Sorensen, craned his neck toward her and pumped his chest out to show his bravado!
"Aw, there's nothing to be scared about, I will protect you, sis!" Sorensen readied his plastic Halloween sword ⚔️🗡️ and swatted a few baby bats away that seemed to come out of nowhere.
Undeterred, Michelle whispered back to him, while holding her little Halloween lantern out
"But who leaves their door open on Halloween? There is no doorbell. Are we supposed to just go in and take it? Uh, I donno if this is safe trick or treating, Sorensen. What would mom and dad say?".
And she tightened up her grip on her big brother and it came closer to a chokehold.
Sorensen shrugged her away and she loosened her grip but remained attached to him!
Sorensen said unfettered and determinedly, "Come on, Michelle! I can see the candy bowl right there inside the door! Maybe the people had to go to the bathroom or something and left the bowl right there for us with the door cracked open so we wouldn't have to wait and could still get it!"
"Hey, I bet they have Good Candy!" Sorensen declared optimistically as he and Michelle entered the doorway and became part of the darkness.
