It's difficult to see on the plan, so check out the photos and virtual tour, but theres a raised static bed above a garage, a bathroom, with slide away loo, a kitchen area, and a living space that can be used as comfy seating, a dining area, a workspace, or a guest bed.
I wanted to have a space that felt homely, where I could use different locations as desired, so as not to feel 'cabin feverish'. To this end, I have used areas of striking decor interspersed with neutrals, so that different areas feel very different and are not visible between them.
From there, I considered a lot of layouts that included a bathroom, a living space that can be converted to a guest bed, a dining area (with a Lagun swivel table, not shown), or a workspace (with fold-out counters).
The main bed dimensions are very close to those of a European double, meaning I can source the frame and mattress fairly simply. I wanted some green, as I find it soothing, and it's in limited supply where I live, hence a couple of plants too.
This is the garage under the bed, the loo slides into the bathroom when needed, and hidden away when not. The cabinet in the middle of this image is accessible from the main living area, and is for clothing.
The bathroom has a shower and a loo that slides in from the garage area, for convenience. I wanted a division between the sleeping area & the main living areas, but I also wanted light/air to circulate. I considered adding a mini sink in the bathroom, but felt this was overkill with one nearby.
I wanted to ensure a view from the bed as well as airflow, hence the windows.
I wanted a static bed so I didn't have to make the bed twice a day, and using lots of measurements found online, I determined that I could sleep sideways without trouble. This is 130cm by 185cm, so very close to a standard double in Europe.

The shower door would be frosted, possibly sliding and flexible. I love these blue accent tiles. The shower would need to accommodate some wheel arch, but there's enough room.

You can see the amenities better in here, I decided against an oven to maximise storage. There is a microwave oven, two folding counters, a fridge, a hob, and a sink. Additionally you can see the overhead storage here, and access to the cab.
