Sa'raia's Home Design

This house has a traditional interior design, but many rooms and elements of this design have taken inspiration from the Bohemian style. The main floor and basement have an open plan living space, and are designed with similar styles and earth tone colours throughout.

This area has been divided to be an overall open space. This house has a lot of plants, so natural light is very important. The environment I've seleted is very well lit, so I wanted to optimize natural lighting rather than just artificial.

Bathroom1

This is the main floor bathroom. This is a full bathroom rather than a powder room, just because I felt it important to have equal amounts of showers/baths to bedrooms. Family homes are often busy and many people shower at the same time, so this prevents traffic during busier times.

This is the main upper-floor full bathroom. This bathroom has a tub rather than shower because this home houses a toddler who obviously cannot use a shower independently.

This is the upper-floor lounge. This is generally just an area made for reading, and a place for relaxation more isolated than a living room.

This is the children's bedroom. Specifically designed for a female toddler, full of engaging toys and vibrant colours. The bed was chosen not only because of the cool design, but to optimize toy storage to prevent messes.

Master Bath

This is the ensuite bathroom. This is connected to the master bedroom, and has a shared-access door to the main upper-lounge area. This is a full bathroom, including a storage cabinet for medicine, skincare products etc.

This is a general bedroom that can be used as a guest, or a teenager bedroom. This was designed to be specifically neutral, so it could be used as either. The purposes of this bedroom and the basement bedroom are interchangable.

Living and Dining Room

This is the general main floor living area, including the living room, dining room and kitchen. To optimize natural lighting and use it as an advantage, this area is designed to be open-plan. Beside the kitchen, access to both the upper floor and basement are present. Includes access to the garage.

Lounge

This is the basement living area. Includes a gym, access to laundry, bathroom and bedroom. This area is designed to be a second living and reading area, containing multiple bookshelves and a TV.

Master Bedroom

This is the master bedroom. Because this bedroom is designed for two, a large closet as well as additional dresser is used to maximize storage. Includes access to the ensuite bathroom.

Second Bedroom

This is a general bedroom, once again designed to be used as either a regular bedroom and/or a guest bedroom. Can be used for either one or two people, so a double bed as well as a larger closet space is included.

Garage

Two car garage with direct access to the main floor living area, as well as a small storage area for any car materials or for general storage.
