The Doughnut House

Floor Plan 947.04㎡

Because I wanted a courtyard in the middle of my floor plan, I organized my rooms so the most used ones were closest to the courtyard and could gain lots of natural light.

Laundry Room

My laundry room is terrible, sorry you had to see it first. :( I had a little too much space leftover, the room looks bare and unfinished... there's not a lot you can put in a laundry room.

Master Bedroom

My favourite part about the Master Bedroom is how light the room is. Even without lights, the natural light is enough to keep the room bright and spacious. Although if I did this project again, I would add lamps, lights and curtains. I'd like to spend more time on the room's interior design.

Guest Bedroom

I like the setup of the Guest Bedroom. Although it's plain with no personal touches, I feel it's a nice space to stay in. I'd like to add more windows in the future.

Bathroom1

I had trouble designing the bathroom. I'd choose a wall colour but once it was rendered, the paint was several shades darker, ruining the space in my opinion. The walls are still too dark to my taste but it's much better than before. I like the shell-shaped rug, I think it adds character.

Office/Library

The library was another room that changed colour once rendered. I would have preferred a more muted wall colour. Otherwise, I like how this room turned out. I like how the large bay window lights up the entire room.

Courtyard

The courtyard is my favourite part of the house. It's what makes my project stand out among others. I had trouble using the program to create a hole in the middle of the house. Despite making a hole in the floor of my house, if you look up, Homestyler still creates a ceiling.

Otherwise, I love how all the windows and glass sliding doors light up the rest of the home. I like how it's a spacious yet still sheltered outdoor area to relax and enjoy the fresh air.

Hallway

This hallway connects the Lounge to the Kitchen/Dining Room/Library area. To the right it has several windows onlooking the Courtyard and letting lots of natural light into the house. It's also a nice place to showcase all my art. :)

Entrance

I don't like it.

Lounge

I had trouble with the wall colour in this room too. I added curtains over the windows overlooking the courtyard so you can still have a cinematic experience in your lounge.

Kids Room

I made it mess so it looked like my sisters room. If we were rich and could afford every toy in the world.

Kitchen, Living and Dining Room

This is the kitchen, dining room and lounge all in one space. There's lots of natural light and cats !!!!!!!!

Master Bathroom

This is the ensuite bathroom connected to the master bedroom. Very luxurious!

Bathroom

The downstairs bathroom. I didn't know the mirror lit up like that. It's a very bright room despite there being blinds over the window. The toilet is in the bottom right corner but it got cropped out. I don't know what happened to the floor tiles, they were dark grey before I rendered.

Second Bedroom

I don't know what happened to the bay window. There's supposed to be glass there.

Garage

This is the garage. It's got expensive cars and garage doors but Homestyler didn't have any other garage things.
