The house with thousand steps!
Once this was a family home, but now it's used as an Air BNB and you'll soon see why it's called the house with the thousand steps! The house has three stories and a roof pavilion on the third story which can be accessed from the third story landing space, or with an impressive staircase from the bottom of the garden all the way up. Three spacious bedroom suites was spread out onto the top two levels, each with a small balcony attached. Enough living spaces, big kitchen and a lush garden. All on the hilltop with an expansive view. The inspiration was shades of brown and natural wood.
Unfortunately no floorplan was loading, but you can find the layout on the aerial view where there's a better understanding of how the house was put together.
This is the second bedroom suite on the second floor. It is a spacious double room and from the bathroom it has access to a small balcony on the side.
The bedlinen was of crisp white cotton and paired with lighter and deeper shades of brown. Raw wood finishes was used in a light blond wood. It was paired with the deep chocolate color of a darker wood.
This is the bathroom attached to the second bedroom and with outside access to the small balcony.
And in here the flavor of the chocolate is caramel!
This is the spacious lounge and television area with direct access to the garden. Ample seating and comfortable for many a joyful time.
Shades of brown from the deepest dark chocolate to the lightest of white chocolate!
They focused on more ethnic patterns when chosen the textiles and soft decor.
On the one side of the lounge is this extra little conversation corner.
Folding louvred doors was fitted to close this lounge room off from the rest of the house for some extra privacy.
This is the bathroom up on the third floor. To sit in that little swing chair like and eagle on it's nest!
Blond wood with it's grain showing through! How beautiful is that!
This is the balcony off the main bedroom and almost tucked under the stairs that leads all the way up and up and up!
The staircase was encased in walls and with sturdy railings where necessarry.
Here you are on the rooftop on the third floor where a lovely pavilion seating area was created.
And from the top all the stairs leading down into the garden below.
From the bottom of the garden looking up.
This picture was taken from the edge of the swimming pool towards the house.
This is the bedroom on the third floor! so spacious and comfortable and beautiful with it's extra special bed!
A desk was fitted in the room for a bit of workcation!

A storage wall for all the extras.
And from her direct access onto the roof terrace!
This is the master bathroom of the house. I hope you enjoy the special feature of a raised platform for the tub and double shower and all the natural wood that was used all over.
The tub and shower on a station of their own while down here the lovely vanity and loo!
The steps leading up to the bath area was done wide enough and comfortable to step up.
On the second floor an laundry was fitted for the convenience of the guests but also for the upkeep of the establishment!
This is the stairwell on the second floor. You'll find the stairs from the bottom floor coming up from one side and then the staircase of the third floor going up on the other side.
At the back of the semi wall you can see the door of the laundry room.
This bookcase was fitted to guard the stairs for safety but also for much needed storage.
This view is from the kitchen into the more formal dining space.
The lovely blond wood with its exposed grain was used to such a good effect throughout the house as you'll see in this room also. Always paired with the deep dark wood to give that extra interest.
Special art pieces was chosen to give a wonderful ambience through the house. And with certain impact on special walls.
On the one side of the kitchen a more informal eating area was created with direct access to the garden outside. Grab a coffee and dare to climb the stairs to the top! You won't be disappointed!
In the LDK they also made use of a raised platformed area where the formal dining space and a little bar area was created.
Using the steps for seating.....why not?
The painting on the wall.....that is what's meant when speaking of a big impact art can make in a room.
Looking out into the garden while washing up? What a luxury!
The Master bedroom with it's play between white and dark chocolate! Stirring the senses in many many ways!
This is another big impact artwork! The right choice for the right wall for the right room.
Here we are at the entrance to the house. Hang up your coat, leave your shoes if you want to....enter and enjoy the stay!
At the bottom of the first staircase of the house.....the first of many!
And this is the end of the house of thousand stairs! Thanks for touring with me! I hoped you enjoyed it!
Add the second floor and sure you are in the second floor, then go to the create room section and scroll down till you find floor opening and choose that to put in the room. It will appear on your floor and then you can move it and adjust the size to fit your stairs. You can also watch the video on it in the Learn section on top. Keep on going and practice!
