I put the kitchen and bathroom downstairs, the bedroom upstairs and made the living/dining room an open space with high ceilings, and large windows to make it look bigger.

This is the view coming into the house. The kitchen is on the left; living/dining room is straight ahead and full bath/laundry room on the right.

Large windows bring in natural light and give the room a larger feel.

I went with shades of blue for the bathroom.

This is actually a view of the bedroom/sitting area from the closet (upstairs).

This wall color is called Nocturne Blue (from Behr). I felt like the darker blue paint and carpet would be more conducive to sleep.
