boho beach house
i'm not particularly good at descriptions so i'll just blandly describe it. a beach house design featuring a main house with four bedrooms, a family room, a living room, dining room, kitchen, three bathrooms. additionally there is a guest house with a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and lounge. there's also a patio. inspiration was boho & beach.the focus was creating a space that could fit many people, a la vacation homes for large families.

720°
bathroom used by the room with the bunk beds, though i need to add blinds in front of the window.

720°
this one was a favourite; i've always loved bunk bed walls. again, because i wanted to fit as many people as possible, this was the optimal way to sleep a bunch of kids. also kids love bunk beds. this bedroom uses the neighbouring bathroom.

720°
very simple, minimal space. in the future i would add a curtain, but who cares it's a gorgeous view.

720°
guest house kitchen, very simple but functional on its own, so they don't need to go to the main house. bathroom is behind the curtain. i don't know why i put fireplaces in so many rooms of the guest house, though it might get cold at night, and i like the warmth they bring to the space.

720°
shares a bathroom with the twin bedrooms, and has a door that lead to it. not much to say, the general theme of the house was a lot of sandy neutral tones and light colours

720°
guest lounge, very simple. this is also the entryway to the guest house. the view outside the door is from an earlier version; originally there was a pool and a large tree, but i scrapped it not long after, mainly because it looked strange with the beach backdrop.

720°
the guest house bathroom. in order to keep the guest house small, i had to get creative with space, so this is very narrow. i really love this style of shower, where it's its own room.

720°
the main space from another point of view. the rounded doors to the media room were spanish-inspired, another form of design I really like. the double entrances also serve to connect the two spaces.

720°
this main space is was the basis for the design of the rest of the house. as part of functionality, the dining space can seat many, as can the large sectional. while this house is designed with the idea that its occupants would spend their time outside, the interior is still important.

720°
the main house's kitchen. i liked the clay colour and the copper accents. this isn't really a cooking kitchen, and if i were to start from scratch i would have made it bigger and given more counterspace, because i love lots of counterspace when i cook, but i like the overall design.

720°
view from inside the bed curtains. i really love the curtains, which you can see throughout the house. it creates a very light and airy vibe in the house.

720°
view from the corner of the master bedroom. there isn't much going on here; there's a chair for reading and a dresser for additional storage.

720°
ignore this initial glance and click on the image to properly see the space, because it ended up very nice. that door on the right leads to the ensuite. i need to take more renders of this space because it's very relaxing. also i made sure to include lots of fans.

720°
there's a desk in the hall because sometimes people need to work. it was important that the space be open, hence the wall openings so the hallway isn't boxed off.

720°
outside patio with two seating areas, a fire pit, and an outside dining space.

720°
just a very simple space, its important to keeps things clean in smaller spaces. because this space is meant to house as many people as possible, there are two twin beds. their bathroom is shared with the fourth bedroom.

720°
bathroom shared by the second and third bedrooms, very simple in clean white colours.

720°
(cont) where people will just want to stay in and watch a movie. also note that most of the lighting includes fans. in my mind there isn't A/C, or simply that the preferable alternative is going to be fans.

720°
media room. originally there was just the living room in main space, but i felt, because of all the people that could stay here (comfortably sleeps 10 in the main house), there should be a second area to lounge in. i didn't originally want a tv room, but there are always rainy days (cont)

720°
this is the bedroom of the guest house. i made use of as many windows as possible, because of the lovely view. the space is very simple and neutral, with a walk-in-closet behind the curtain.
