Classic Modern
This space was decorated around the use of two classic chairs. The preference of this home owner was the classic Louis ghost chairs and the Plattner arm chair, as you'll see in the pictures to follow. The challenge was also to work on the skill of creating an interesting ceiling which was done with bulkheads and concealed lighting.
For the purpose of this exercise the focus was on the living areas and kitchen although the floorplan is designed to be expanded into sleeping quarters.
The classic chairs was paired with the modern colors of the black and white Zebra hide. On the table is the display of classic flowers in the form of Hydrangeas and lilacs.
The use of an oversized mirror in a classic style and with shiny metal finishes.....use so effectively to cast back all the lovely scenes in the room.
The glory of the classic Louis ghost chairs.....so luxurious and elegant!
The kitchen safely tucked away in the back of the glass doors....but also with the interest of bulkheads in the ceiling.
Modern classic and elegant. The shiny metal ad rustic modern artwork......and of course a fluffy rug for extra coziness.
In this space the classic Plattner chairs was showcased between a mix of modern and classic pieces. The walls was kept as neutral as possible to provide the backdrop for the modern color splashes.
Bulkheads on the ceiling where extra depth was created with light and deeper paint colors.
Paintings, Plattner and acrylic......shiny metal and classic wood tones.....modern lights and acrylic tables.....but married together happily ever after.....??
In the entrance hall the classic Plattner chair was paired with a modern cow hide and an acrylic bookshelf. The art was kept in neutral colors for this space.
Open the glass screen doors and you step into the living space.....and she loves every bit of it!
And here, in this cozy corner with the view just there, she can start the day....and say a little prayer!
A kitchen where classic crockery and tins are found in open shelves....where cooking seems to be a pleasure!
