Unnamed space

This is the outdoor space. I added an overhanging pool for modernity but kept the porch space cottage style. The added touch of turf instead of concrete gives some feel of nature even though it's in the city.

Outdoors

There is plenty of seating for a small gathering and entertaining guests without feeling too crowded.

Room for a full size grill allows for more opportunities for summer entertainment.

Bedroom

The bedding and decorations surrounding the bed, I wanted to keep at a minimum for more modern touches but the brick wall, vintage white nightstands, and padded headboard give a cottage look to the modern decor.

The warm browns and blues carry on into the bedroom. The vintage white furniture contrasts well with the blue walls and gives a cottage feel but I added in a gold lined mirror and minimalist shelving and accessories for a modern touch.

The closet space provides a cottage style farmhouse door and plenty of modern shelving for storage.

Living Room

The living room gives the first impression of modernity but still has small touches that give off a cottage feel.

A small storage bench gives guests a place to store their belongings without a bunch of clutter. The hooks are minimalist and modern but the wooden bench ties in well to give a cottage, worn look.

There is plenty of storage and shelving while not looking too bulky in the room.

The living room is very spacious with lots of gold touches. I wanted this room to be more minimalist and modern to give the small room a more spacious feel, yet the brown hues still make the room feel more cozy.

Bathroom

The bathroom is mostly modern with lots of gold and purple and white but it ties in nicely for a modern/cottage balance.

The modernity is carried on into the gold soaker tub, but the vintage faucet and hardware give for a cottage touch.

The shower is very spacious and modern with gold hardware and glazed glass doors.

Kitchen

The farmhouse sink gives plenty of room to wash dishes since there is not a dishwasher. There is also a good amount of counter space given the size of the kitchen.

The cabinetry and blue island contrast well against the tile back splash. There are modern touches like the floating shelves and gold light fixture that add modern touches.

There was not much room to put regular tables and chairs, so I put in benches to save space and this also creates more space. The vintage table and chairs gives for a cottage look but the gold light fixture and minimalist centerpiece adds modern flare.

I wanted to put of fun pattern flooring in the laundry room. It looks both modern and cottage style. The laundry room is fairly small, but the sliding door gives the feeling of more space to the room.
