I need to design the floorplan for an appartment, where only the living room is on a lower level (ca.70cm lower) connected with stairs to the rest of the appartment. I dont know how to design that. I couldnt manage to do it by creating a complete second floor, nor by extruding the higher part of the appartment (didnt work out with the wall heights. They were limited to 280cm). Can someone give me a hint how I can do that? See the picture, how the two levels and the stairs should look!
There are several ways to do this. Planning is the key. The easiest way is to add the height of the stairs to the height of your walls. Build your stairs either by using the custom floor interface. or by using custom modeling. Either way you are going to have to make a "floor" for one room. The adding of the stair height to the height of the walls ensures that your wall are the same height in each room. When placing the furniture models sometimes some models will not automatically sit on the floor and you will need that measurement to elevate them to the correct height.
