Outdoor scenery and natural light are essential for realistic rendering. This guide will show you how to quickly switch exterior backgrounds and fine-tune environment lighting in Homestyler.

Part 1: How to Switch Environment Maps

Enter the Render Interface: Click the "Render" button on the top toolbar to open the rendering panel.

Locate Environment Tabs: Under the "Environment" category on the left, you will see three sub-tabs:

      - Day: Bright, sunny, and natural daytime backdrops.

      - Night: Atmospheric evening, dusk, or midnight scenes.

      - My: Your uploaded custom background images.

Apply Environment: Simply click on any thumbnail to apply it as your outdoor scenery.

⚠️ Note: Always match "Night" environments with "Night" lighting templates to avoid lighting mismatches.

Part 2: Fine-Tuning Environment Settings

Hover over the selected environment thumbnail and click the "Pencil (Edit)" icon to open the settings panel.

1. Exterior View — Adjust the Background Appearance

Adjusting these parameters only affects the appearance of the backdrop image, not the actual scene lighting.

   - Rotate Horizontally: Rotate the background left or right to align the best view with your windows.

   - Vertical Offset(new feature): Shift the background image up or down to match your project's floor level (e.g., lower the image for high-rise apartments, raise it for ground-floor villas).

☀️ Brightness: Controls the brightness level of the background image itself.

2. Ambient Light — Adjust Scene Illumination & Reflection

Adjusting these parameters directly influences the light and color tone of your entire interior scene.

💡 Brightness: Determines the intensity of the natural light entering the room. Higher values make the interior brighter.

Reflection Strength: Controls background reflections on glossy surfaces (glass, metal, floors).

🌡️ Color Temp: Adjusts light temperature (slide left for Warmish, right for Colder).
