Move a room around-Pytania-Homestyler Forum

I've compared several home design softwares and figured homestyler would be a great choice for designing and sketching on a floor plan for my family's new home.

Unfortunately this turned out to be a terrible choice due to one simple and ridiculous flaw; there is no way to drag and drop rooms around on the grid.

Sure, one could recreate the empty room in another location and then move the furniture/interior to that room - but that completely defeats the purpose of coming up with a good floor plan by simple fun and exploration.

When will this be fixed, and if "soon", how soon? I can't imagine it would be difficult to implement such a feature.

you used to be able to!!!! now you can't! I can't create/brainstorm in homestyler anymore, I always have to use a sketch or other program ... it delays my use of homestyler -- BRING IT BACK - PLEASE! also.... making round rooms should be a thing!! I love this site, but it has some limitations that could be fixed

Well Tony, the design interface is specifically created that you HAVE to draw the room. You can't just move rooms around; it doesn't work that way. Just take your time and draw the rooms. And, Homestyler is a great choice if you plan on creating something because you have all the features you need (ie. the model catalog, company names, materials, customized modelling) Everything is at your fingertips.
