Abandoned Paradise

We hiked for nearly 6 hours with nothing more than some water and a Kit Kat. The guides had promised us a lavish dinner party, but walking the Cambodian nature trail made me think that they were lying to us. And then, round the corner of the big volcanic rocks i saw it. A remnant of the French Colonial period, a mansion abandoned by its owners, was waiting for us with its large, moss crested wooden doors to enter. Our guide looked at me and said ‘You can now stop licking the Kit Kat wrapping. Dinner is served!’
