Ciao dear friend!! Sooo long time .. I know I have make a mistake I rely wanted to wright before but I was a little emotional ,so beautiful words,, had to hide my self. I'm not used to it, hope that dinner is still there and not to cold now .. A late guest very late., sorry from the heart . Maybe it seems strange but I have taking time to answer because for me your words from your life in to my so easy life.. was like ..how can I describe it?.. When I was young my father and mother told me one morning ,tomorrow we all leave for an other country ,it was like a knife but I was to young and what we all cal home just disappear from me.The day I could se my friends and my country again ..is something that will be in my heart for ever , and you touched those feelings.. Now that was 50 years . ... And if I don't hurry it will take other 50 years.. I'm so happy and I'll do my best I can to keep you as friends.

Oh my goodness, dear Jean, this is quite a dilemma. It breaks my heart to hear of your heirloom kilim being destroyed. I knew you loved animals just because you both have such gentle spirits. But this is like a violence against you. I also love animals dearly, and the closest thing to this that I’ve known is when we lived in Colorado. Our friends lived in a beautiful mountain town and a neighbor was not keeping her trash secure. A bear started coming around. Very dangerous. This neighbor then did a terrible thing — she lured the bear into the house where she would be allowed to shoot it. It breaks my heart. I don’t know how that played out because there was an outcry against her from her neighbors. Just like the lady near your place who fed the monkeys — we have to be responsible and respectful. So sorry you are looking at having to relocate. Thank you, my friend, for letting me know what’s happening. ❤️❤️❤️

My darling Josef connects with your designs on an emotional and intellectual level, because they are truly wonderful. Do not stop talking to us, nothing is ever irrelevant as we find a lot of value in what you say. If we lived in your town, we would have wanted you as a dinner guest, we would forget to eat as we would only talk! There is so much wisdom there and a gentle acceptance of what is. We spoke the other evening and decided that for us this was not so far an easy year in our town, we have for instance no water as it has not rained in five years and it is hard to see the suffering, but we will choose to say that 2019 was the year we met Kersti Norling, wise soul, wit, and dare we say, friend.

Actually Winnie, we adore all animals, even spiders and creepy crawlies. The problem with these monkeys is that somebody started feeding them in the residential area. She now decided she does not want to do this anymore, but they have become used to it. They have lost their fear of humans so you cannot scare them off easily. They are super dexterous and break into homes and cupboards. We have had thousands in damage already. We are hardest hit because they favour gardens and homes that do not have big dogs. We don’t have doggies as we travel so often and while kitties are not so emotionally dependent, doggies are. We cannot have them removed and relocated even though we have a permit to do so as there will be a public outcry by people who have not experienced this. Josef is Prof in animal sciences at the University and a senior academic in charge of animal ethics. We love our home and garden, but we will have no other option than to relocate to the side of town that is furthest from their base. But you are right. Sometimes it is funny, they ate my lipstick the other day and they looked very funny. Unfortunately they also destroyed our antique kilim from the Lake Van district in south east Turkey, it has been in my family for generations and the most valuable thing, both in terms of monetary and sentimental value we own. It is woven and embroidered and very delicate, you will know exactly the type, it is destroyed. I clean for hours afterward as monkeys are not clean and leave a terrible mess. I then encourage Josef to design, the only thing that is keeping him from having a stroke at the moment.! Thanks for always being so kind.
