In Midtown Manhattan, NYC is another closet apt. that rents for $1200 a month. it is 9 ft long and 6 feet 9 inches wide. It was suggested that a loft bed would work.. there is no bathroom, no sink, the bathroom is down the hall in this apt building. The challenge was to figure out space, storage, maybe a way to hide a compost toilet, water bottles, squeeze in cooking, have a place to sleep, maybe have a couple ppl over for sanity sake and to have a place for a few clothes. Raised floors in some cultures are for air flow but I used it for storage, sleeping, socializing, dinning all in one area.
