Welcome to this large family home! This old home has been added onto and remodeled over the years with an attached garage and a remodeled third floor. The mansard roof and the 10 dormer windows of the third floor were begging to be enjoyed to the fullest. The third floor has become a relaxing and cozy primary suite.

This project showcases the interior of the third floor alone. The primary suite includes a bedroom, sitting area, fireplace, walk-in closet, walk-in shower, and soaking tub.

The walk-in closet is in the center of the third floor. It connects the bedroom to the bathroom and features two large wardrobes for clothing and accessories and a vanity.
The third floor features ten dormer windows that provide beautiful natural light.
The dormer windows on the front of the house maintain the same position as the widows/door on the other levels to give them an intentional and classic look.
The home features a large covered porch for enjoying time outside.
Exterior lights on the home keep it looking inviting at any time of day.
The primary bathroom sits right off of the walk-in closet. Sliding pocket doors can be closed for additional privacy. The ledge of the dormer window in the walk-in shower is fully waterproofed and can be used as a ledge for sitting or for keeping supplies.
The soaking tub has a gas fireplace that looks through to the other room so that it can be enjoyed from both sides. Large plants sit on the ledges of the dormer windows to bring nature and clean air into the space.
The bedroom features abundant wood texture and dark materials for a cozy feel. Because of all of the natural light, the room can afford to incorporate dark walls, dark wood tones, and a dark ceiling. The light curtain fabric also keeps the space from looking overly dark.
None of the windows were to be blocked on this third floor. The staircase to the left is built so that the railing doesn't meet the window in an awkward way.
Custom cabinetry flanks the entrance to the walk-in closet for additional storage.

View upon entering the third floor. The chair sits next to a small alcove for a quite nook to read or relax.
This cozy nook gives the feel that you are in a much smaller space and features a gas fireplace that is shared by the bathroom on the opposite side.
This dormer window has been finished out to be a window seat for gazing out at the world beyond.
