#MedicalCareContest New Hope Medical Facility
Welcome to New Hope, a medical facility for servicemen and woman. This establishment has taken its ideas from The famous Stoke Mandeville in the united Kingdom. Renown for its pioneering work in spinal injuries and also as the birthplace of the Paralympic movement. After world war one they encouraged wounded patients to participate in wheel chair races and other fun activities to aid with their mobility and promote their general well being. I have borrowed the wheel chair race as the central theme of my design with this lighthearted activity happening in the open air courtyard.
The design is divided into three main areas. A large carpark surrounding the hospital building. A central courtyard area which leads to the rehabilitation ward and assessment area.

The main entrance to the building flanked with the usual transport you would expect to find at this kind of establishment.

The medical center stands within lush parkland.

Parking bay for the ambulances.

A small water feature by the front entrance.

Plenty of seating and green areas are found on the walkway to the entrance.

A small kiosk for visitors wanting a caffeine fix.

The main entrance.

The central courtyard is attractively planted with different seating areas for the patients to enjoy.

Many friends and family have gathered to watch the fun and spills of an impromptu wheelchair race around the courtyard.

This wheelchair event was the idea that sparked this design...i wanted a semi lighthearted twist to the medical theme.

Whoops... looks like someone didn't take the bend to well.

Some spectators are getting very enthusiastic.

A great advantage point for a photograph.

Sure this fallen competitor will have plenty of offers of a helping hand.

Staff watch the entertainment in the courtyard.

Chief medical offers desk in the assessment area.

Long view looking from the assessment area down and through the ward.

Records of every patient who stayed in this ward are housed neatly in these files.

Historical anatomy artworks decorate the wall.

The ward is decorated in shades of green and white, green is linked to hospital décor traditionally and there's shades available called 'Hospital green' and 'spinach green' that where particularly used during World War One

Flowers are not always encouraged in hospital wards, but this display adds a welcome touch of colour.

The ward is light and airy with views over gardens and parkland.

With all the beds empty lets hope it wont be long before all the servicemen and woman are fit to be discharged... but the doors of The New Hope Medical Facility will be always open for those who need her care.

True, the girl who fell out of the stroller is unconvincing.
She's obviously having fun)
She doesn't look hurt)
Although it is clear what idea wanted to convey 🤗
