#HSDA2021 Residential the Oasis
The client and I wanted to mix very contemporary furnishings with some touches from the old world. Maximum indoor seating was also a goal. Modern Italian furnishings were incorporated into this old and new mixture, and lots of materials with textures playing off of each other with soft fabrics and rugs, against hardwoods, cement and marble. Outside fountains and pool created an oasis in a very hot climate.

This open floorplan was challenging. Client has a very large family & wanted to create as much seating as possible for entertaining. Exact selections especially regarding the quality of the furnishings and the fabrics used for the furniture was very important as it is both a formal and family space.

Space Showcase 8 Renders
The view of the outdoor firepit and the pool area are surprising after the more traditional entrance. Mosaic tile work was added to bring a traditional element inside, but used a contemporary arrangement.
It's easy to envision a large family celebration in this home. It's soft, airy and contemporary but has elements to add an elegant look.
Entry courtyard to a modern American, open space home with middle eastern roots.
I liked adding the traditional touches to the contemporary interior you are about to enter.
Dining Room
Since this is just one big open space coordinating the finishes was very imporant. The client preferes sophisticated neutrals. Lighting helps delineate the different areas.
The breakfast nook doubles as a play area for a young child who can be seen by her mother when she is in the kitchen, with plenty of storage for the child's art and other toys.
