Softly summer is a property designed to reflect my own tastes in furnishings. This property was inspired by a home in my neighbourhood that has been created from a cluster of single storey outhouses once a home for pigs and sheep. Space Showcase 52 Renders
Living and Dining Room
Dog tooth check upholstered sofa combines with soft apple green leathers and acid toned acrylics for a restful sitting space.
Many of the walls retain the look of their original beginnings with the raised ripple effect surface offset with bold artwork and checked wallpaper.
View out into the apple orchard on a fine English summers day.

Inset floor to ceiling mirror accentuates the dinning area adding an illusion of space.
Courtyard
As evening falls the courtyard with hidden lighting is a semi enclosed area leading directly from the covered veranda.

Hallway
The hallway is a simple uncluttered space with built in hanging space for coats and outwear.
less is more..... a often true decorating strategy.

Bedroom
Lots of space and soft minted greens and whites create a soothing environment for this bedroom.
clean slimline bookcases for display items and also double up as bedside tables.
a splash of purple is used as a contrast throughout the bedroom.

I love white in a bedroom and I've also added a small punch of purple.
snug
Located directly off the kitchen is a small colourful snug, a fun area to watch tv and perfect for the pets.
The floral pig has been chosen to remind me of the roots of this property.

walk-in closet
Its my dream to have a walk in closet and I deliberately used the blue silks to create a sumptuous air of luxury and indulgence.
A place for everything...and everything in its place
Kitchen
Summertime vibes..... with a fun logo above the kitchen breakfast bar.....imagine these will easily be replaceable throughout the following seasons.
Jake the Dalmatian watches the oven ..ever hopeful!
Feline portraits of canine companions...... past and present
Lush summer foliage blends perfectly with the citrus lime acrylic.

Its not always sunny throughout a UK summer....but when it is just let down the blinds.
With stainless steel work surfaces and uncluttered appearance this kitchen has a slight retro look with its lime colour and curved unit.
A small home office is situated against the wall by the snug entrance.
Citrus tones just perfect for that summertime vibe.
A contrast of black from the microwave, fridge and utensils.
Master Bathroom
I have been known to spend hours in the bath....and therefore I always need a surrounding ledge for books, candles and the occasional glass of wine.
bold bespoke tiles and unusual shelving add a little drama.
I love the ornate glass decorations...like enormous rain drops.
opposite side of the bathroom houses a large shower unit....when a long soak is not on the timescale.
veranda
Accessed through the snug or from the dining area is the covered veranda... perfect for summer entertaining.
Soft blue velvet sofas and partial glassed walls afford views across the lawns.
