Disappearing room.

Hi. 

When I select an object in 3D mode, the whole room disappears. I can then only see a wireframe (is that the right term?) of the object selected. 

I can move the object around, but I can't see that relative to the room.

I'm guessing I've changed a setting somewhere by accident?

Any help would be much appreciated.
