I'm trying to make a house in V. 5 that uses stairs to get inside rather than the floor being on ground level, but I can't find any info on it. Is it a premium feature? I tried thickening the floor but that thickness goes underground. I tried adding a basement, but no matter how short or tall I make the walls it all stays underground.
Floor thickness only seems to work for upper floors. Best way to do it on the first floor is to select a room floor, choose "Customize Floor" from the pop up. Draw a rectangle over the floor, hit escape and in the lower right fill in a number in extrusion. Do this for every room on the first floor and then adjust your wall height, doors and windows accordingly. If you've already used extrusion for inhouse flooring, don't forget to add that number.
