Help to find working oil lamp or kerosene lamp 3d models?-Berbagi Sumber-Homestyler Forum

I know this is a long shot, but can't hurt to try. I need a 3d model of an oil lamp or kerosene lamp. A model that has a light source included so that the lamp can be turned on and off. Preferably the kind that is a sconce to be fixed into a wall so that it could not be accidentally knocked over. But even a protable model would do as long as it has a light source to be adjusted and turned on/off once uploaded here. This is what I mean, and this model I already have. But I need more than this one single model: https://3dsky.org/3dmodels/show/kerosinovaia_lampa_7 Most free models I've found around the web will not upload here even if they are of supported format. Homestyler still fails to detect files. Or alternatively if a model does successfully upload it has no light source in it. At this point I'd be willing to pay a FEW bucks for a decent looking 3d model if I could be sure it has a light source in it AND actually successfully uploads to Homestyler. Judging by the tens of faield uploads of free models I don't trust Homestyler enough to randomly pay for a model to download and just hope for the best. Has anyone found any oil lamp or kerosene lamp 3d models like that, with a light source, which successfully uploads here? Free or not. But the cost should not exceed 10 bucks or so.

Thank you. :) I'll save that info somewhere. It appears 3d Warehouse has brought back the 2019 versions. I have no idea why they disappeared for weeks. But some year they surely will be gone for good as it doesn't seem they have all possible Sketchup versions supported there. @ Grace Simmons

In menu-open from device, survey model use eraser tool or select loop to delete unwanted items. From left menu -download choose .skp/2019 and file will download with name and #1. ow your good to go.

3DWarehouse models can be converted from 2020 to 2019 and later. Google lets yu find what they want you to find. I use Bing as a search engine. Found this on Bing search regarding conversions: https://www.revitrhinobeyond.com/how-to-convert-sketchup-2021-to-sketchup-2017-or-other-lower-versions/ Bookmarked the actual site & converted models (even removed parts I didn't need), loaded up to HS w/o any issues. Yes, I know, I have tried that but like I said it just won't get me the same effect as something (I assume) which has been lighted up in V-Ray. @ Grace Simmons

The render interface will not recognize the actual lamp, if you add the right light source and make height/width/length/brightness/temperature adjustments you might get the effect your looking for.

Thanks but I've already checked those sites and they don't have what I need, in the free models. And like I said I will not pay for a model unless I know someone has managed to upload the very model here successfully. @ Grace Simmons

3d Warehouse was and would be fantastic but it became useless overnight in April because it no longer supports 2019 models but Homestyler doesn't support anything newer. Those other sites you mentioned Google hasn't brought up for me so thanks, I'll check them out. Though it's unlikely they have free models of this since Google doesn't bring those sites up when I search for them. So again, if anyonne knows of cheap models that successfully upload here and preferrably also have a light source, please link them to me.

I have, all those failed were zip.zip or rar. And I've tried those methods to add a light source. Changing the wick's materia to a Luminous one from the Premium section, the Render interface Lighting section still won't recognise the lamp as a light source. It won't let me select the model at all much less adjust it. As for adding an artificial light to the lampp, it never really looked like the light is coming from the lamp. Not the way it does from that one model that already has it by default. Even when I fitted the sphere light inside the lamp. I guess it's just not the same as V-Ray.

I have turned several other websites upside down and haven't found free models that successfully upload here, except the one I linked plus two with no light source. (I really need them to have a light source to adjust and turn on/off.) Hence why I ask help to find models people have tried themselves and know for sure to successfully upload here. Because as I said I won't risk playing for a model that turns out useless because it fails to upload here. @ Grace Simmons

Check out other model websites for models. You can even try some manufacturing sites which make 3d models available for free. LoftDesigne, Eurosvet, Design Connected and or 3DWarehouse.

For models not loading: check the type of zip file they are: zip.7z need to be converted to zip.rar/zip.zip. There is no guarantee that a light source will be included in the model even if you pay for a premium model. Models w/o light sources can be fixed depending on how the model is made. In the change the material interface under premium materials look for illumination materials and change the light source. Or add a light in the render interface with the add light option.
