Dr. Susan La Flesche (1865-1915)

Dr. La Flesche was the first Native American Woman to hold a medical degree. She organized the first privately owned hospital on a reservation. Dr. La Flesche was heavily involved in the efforts of combating the Tuberculous epidemic.
