Open plan living on the Banks!
This house was build on the banks of a beautiful lake and surrounded by the lush greenery of the forest. It's a house made to come and relax for a weekender.....or linger a little longer. For the purpose of this project, the focus was placed on the open plan kitchen, dining and living areas flowing seamlessly into one another and out onto the lovely outside terrace with it's and open views over lake and forest. They chose natural wood tones and bamboo and paired it with warm and natural colors.

Open plan living: front entrance leading into the kitchen which flows into an breakfast nook on one side and the dining area on the other side. Dining area flowing out onto the terrace on one side and flowing into the living room on the other side.

Kitchen
The entrance hall leading straight into the open plan kitchen areas, but also doors for the rest of the house which are not part of this project showcase.
This is the scene that greets you by entering into the open plan kitchen and dining area......
The kitchen was planned wit an island unit for cooking and washing up....to give the cook and the guests the best possible ways to connect.
One side of the kitchen a small breakfast nook.....leading straight out onto the terrace....and with terrific views to the outdoors.
This is the dining area on the other side of the kitchen also leading out onto the terrace and with the warmth of the fireplace! The best way to have a gathering of friends or family!

The dining room flows into the living room.....for more entertaining to be done!
The living room was fitted with the widest bay window possible to let as much of the outdoors in as possible!
